Violinist/violist Hanbyul Jang maintains a distinguished and versatile career in the Los Angeles area as an orchestral musician, chamber artist, and studio performer. She is a member of the Pacific Symphony, having initially joined the violin section before winning a position in the viola section. As a highly sought-after freelancer, she has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, San Diego Symphony, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
An accomplished chamber musician, Ms. Jang has appeared on the Colburn Chamber Music Society and Da Camera Society of Los Angeles series, as well as at the Franco-American Chamber Music Festival in Missillac, France, and the Mainly Mozart Festival. She currently serves on the viola faculty at California State University, Fullerton. In the summer, she serves on the faculties of the Montecito International Music Festival and the Irvine Music Festival. In addition, she maintains a private teaching studio, where she is dedicated to the development of students at all levels.
